First Blog!!!

 Hi my name is Raymond Adderly and I am an 11th-grade student at Fort Lauderdale High School!  I am taking AICE Media Studies AS Level because I think it is a very interesting class. My interest are fishing, debating, acting, opera, and caring for others. My future plans include leaving high school and going to college. I want to receive a double major in Political Science and Philosophy. Shortly thereafter I would like to attend law school and become an attorney and to start off as a Navy JAG Officer for 4 years. When I live the military I would love to continue to practice law for another 8 years with a small position in politics like a city commissioner or school board member. Then I would love to get involved in national politics as either a governor, US Senator of Representative. My ultimate goal would be to become President of the United States and solving the issues of affordable housing, a fair economy, and public option healthcare. To high school though I currently serve as Class President, Commanding officer of the FLHS NJROTC Batallion, and the lead actor for Little Shops of Horror as Seymour Krelborn. My favourite colour is green and I love to advocate on behalf of others. I strongly feel that I have been called to speak on social issues for others. My family background is Cuban and Bahamian and yes I am a Caribbean baby! My favourite subject is history!  Thank you so much for viewing my blog and taking some time to explore my passions.  Hola! My name is Raymond Adderly and I am in 11th grade. I have decided to work alone. I have decided to work alone because the content of my film will come from a deep place of study. I want to highlight Afro-Latino achievement which might not be of interest to many people. This is because a lot of latinos within the white community can care less about afro latinos. Thus, this is why I am taking it upon myself to film a opening for this topic. I have said many times that it is not a monolith to be Afro- Latino and my film will do that in its opening. Also, since it is just me I believe my blogs will be pretty unique to this topic.  Que Vola Aseres!! Today I am going to be talking to you all about the best invention in the world Cafe Bustelo!! Now from my last blog, I hope you remembered that I am Cuban and Bahamian. In every Latin household with emphasis on Cuban households. Cafe Bustelo is a stable in the morning with the average family having three shots of cafecito a day. It's basically a shot of coffee that is just black with sugar and without milk. It is a very strong espresso but it is also pretty versatile as you can make cafe con Leche, cafe Oscuro, and Italian coffee. I am having my second cafecito as we speak and it is muy rico.  You can typically purchase it from most retail stores for under $5 and the average sale price is $2.88.
